Social Media Conference Cymru's Community Ambassadors are an advisory group with one shared goal: to help build an event that truly reflects the evolving needs of the industry and its people in Wales.
Our Community Ambassadors are a select group of social media professionals who help shape Social Media Conference Cymru and champion it within their networks. In exchange for their insights and advocacy, ambassadors receive a free conference ticket, insider perks, and the opportunity to connect with industry leaders.

Who is it for?
The Community Ambassador group is for people who:
- Are keen to contribute ideas, knowledge and honest feedback
- Are passionate about social media and the industry in Wales
- Want to develop their network, experience and knowledge by getting involved and seeing what goes on behind the scenes to organise and promote a large event
The group is open to applications from anyone who has an interest or who works in social media and/or marketing.
We want to ensure that a diverse range of voices are represented and that all sorts of perspectives are considered to make this a valuable event for all.
We welcome applications from underrepresented groups and aim to set up a roundtable of individuals who can bring different experiences and backgrounds to the conversation. We also welcome applications from students and graduates who are new to the industry.
How does it work?
After the deadline, our selection team will review the applicants and invite a diverse group of individuals who represent the range of the industry to become Community Ambassadors.
They will receive exclusive content to share to announce their ambassadorship, a free ticket to Social Media Conference Cymru 2026 (saving over £200) and more perks.
A Whatsapp group will be set up to share exclusive updates and bounce ideas and opinions about the conference between Community Ambassadors. (Don't worry, this won't be a 24/7 group! We'll only share updates to keep you in the know and to ask your opinion on specific things.)
A handful of virtual meetings (no more than 3 meetings between February and August 2026) will be held to discuss ideas, feedback and developments for the event, with Community Ambassadors invited to share their opinions and ideas.
